My love affair with the hair industry began around the age of four. I was
surrounded by family members that worked in salons.

I got my license in 1996 while attending high school my junior year.
During my senior year I participated in a co-op program where I went to
school half a day and worked half a day at JCPenney's Hair Salon.
I left JCPenney's and went on to college in 1997.

I attended
Texas Woman's University where I got my degree in Journalism
and minor in Political Science. All four years of school I worked part time in a
salon.

Upon graduation in 2001, I accepted an offer for assistant salon manager at
JCPenney Hair Salon in Dallas. This experience was challenging and rewarding.
From there, I learned how to operate a successful salon and manage multiple
employees.
When I left JCPenney's, I ventured out on my own as an independent
contractor for several years where I built a steady clientele.

I stepped away from the salon for awhile to pursue other dreams. I was
fortunate to work on my writing and have been published multiple times in
The
Dallas Morning News
, Denton Record Chronicle and several magazines.
During this time, my husband and I welcomed two baby boys and I have been
lucky to stay home with them.

In 2005, I began transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair.
My journey has been wonderful.
Now I am returning to the salon, my first love. I am an
enthusiast for healthy
hair.

It's Got To Look Good
I am a wife, mother and hairstylist with a passion for hair.

As a hairstylist my goal is to give my clients what they want and need.
Everyone desires to leave a salon with hair that looks good. My goal is to
fulfill that desire while also maintaining the health of the hair. It is also my
desire to transform damaged, lifeless hair into hair that is full of
life, body, shine, and style; hair that is beautiful to look at and sensational to
the touch.
Healthy Hair- Relaxed or Natural
It is also my desire to provide clients with hair that is strong and healthy
whether their preference is to wear a relaxer or to go au natural. Hair that is
styled to fit the clients lifestyle, career and personality is also a must in my
book.

First and foremost is your satisfaction with the overall look, feel and health
of your hair.------------
